Sweet nostalgia.

Rehearsal last night was a lot of fun! I think I'm really gonna enjoy being involved in this theatre. It's nice to be around theatre people again! There's no people like show people!!  It's a really fun show, too! If you are gonna be around this area Sept. 14-17, 21-24...really do come see it. You will be entertained!

In other news, I'm enjoying my last week before I have to go back to work. I'm excited to see Bracha. I miss her very much! I'm also a little worried because I haven't been able to completely turn my sleep schedule back around. It's gonna be rough when I have to get up at 5:30 in the mornings instead of 11. I've also been doing a lot of contemplating about the heavy stuff I mentioned the other day. One of those things is my Gramma and the fact that she died four years ago. I don't know that I really dealt with how I was feeling then. I think I just shoved it all back somewhere in my head and locked it up. I was very close to her and I miss her so much. When I was at Momma's, there were a lot of times when I found myself thinking about her. Mom gave me a quilt that Gramma had made and told mom to give to me. It's gorgeous! It's yellow and white with butterflies cross-stitched into it. So, anyway, I was thinking about her the other night and dug around on the internet a little bit and I found these pictures. They are of an old railroad depot and museum that was practically in my Gramma's backyard when she lived in the senior housing in her tiny little town. There was a rundown playground behind the depot and down a hill. There was also a rodeo ring very close by. My brother and I used to go there and play on the broken swing set and make eachother sick on the merry-go-round. I even got to watch a rodeo once. It's a nice, sleepy little town.

Prime example of how NOT to make a sales pitch! This just tickled me!

Just heading off to bed! I will update tomorrow on how my first rehearsal went(er...well...later today)! Yay!

Saturday, July 29, 2006

This is me officially apologizing for not updating in the past few days. Truth is, I have been completely and totally unmotivated (is that even a word?) to do anything! I know I need to get it in gear, but I've just been feeling really sluggish lately. I'm also dealing with some pretty heavy stuff, but that's all I'm gonna say about it until I get it figured out a little more.

On the up-side.....

I'M IN A PLAY!! WOOO HOOOO! YIPPEE! YAY! AT LAST!! Ok, jumping-for-joy-moment over. I have been cast as a Chorus member in a production of Once Upon a Mattress (The story of the Princess and the Pea)! I'm very very excited (as if you couldn't tell). It is going to be wonderful to be involved in theatre again. Charlie is very supportive about it. I think he's realized that rehearsals for me means more game time for him.  As it gets closer to time for the show I'll let you all know dates and times so you can be there!

Alrighty, well I'm gonna head off here. I just wanted to write a short update here and I'll get back on soon. (I'll try.)

Night!
